Before entering private practice, Mr. Beecher served as a trial lawyer in the Office of the Seattle City Attorney and as House Counsel for the Safeco Insurance Company. He later served four years as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Office of the Attorney General for the State of Washington.
After entering private practice with the firm of Hackett, Beecher & Hart, Mr. Beecher has acted as Judge Pro Tem in King County Superior Court and has been appointed as an arbitrator in more than 100 matters. He is frequently appointed as an umpire in appraisal disputes and has also been appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent the State in special matters.
Mr. Beecher’s practice is limited to civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Washington, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Beecher has tried cases to verdict in twenty-three of Washington’s counties. Although regularly retained by insurers to represent defendants, Mr. Beecher has an active plaintiff’s practice. He has represented plaintiffs in setting verdict records in King County, Cowlitz County, and Whatcom County, including what was believed to be the highest verdict in the State of Washington.
Mr. Beecher is given Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and integrity. He was honored as one of ten of “Washington’s Winningest Trial Lawyers” by the Washington Law publication. He is listed as a “Super Lawyer” by Washington Law and Politics and is included in the Best Lawyers in America publication. Seattle Metropolitan Magazine has named him one of the Best Lawyers in Seattle.
