Although Mr. Collins' current practice is almost exclusively insurance coverage work, he has acquired a broad range of legal experience. Before joining Hackett, Beecher & Hart he had been an associate with MacBride & Sax doing primarily commercial work, a criminal trial lawyer and supervising lawyer with the Public Defender Association and a general practitioner as a partner in Beckwith & Collins. He has tried a large number of cases and has represented his clients in both trial and appellate courts.
He has also been active in the community, including a stint as Parliamentarian for the 37th District Democrats, membership in several boards (Youth Advocates, Society of Counsel Representing Accused Persons (SCRAP) and Genesis House). He has served on several bar committees.
Mr. Collins is given Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating for legal ability and integrity.
